We’re looking for a Manager, Advisory to join our team in Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich, Germany in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will lead end-to-end delivery of complex client engagements, acting as the primary interface between senior stakeholders and the consulting team - translating ambiguous strategic questions into structured workplans and ensuring that all recommendations are commercially rigorous, implementable and aligned with each client's organizational context. The focus will be on driving engagement quality, developing junior consultants and contributing materially to business development through proactive relationship management and compelling proposal work.
The ideal candidate combines a proven track record of consulting delivery with strong leadership instincts, commercial awareness and the ability to build trusted advisory relationships at the senior client level.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end management of consulting engagements, including scope definition, workplan development, resource allocation and quality assurance through to final delivery
- Serve as the principal day-to-day client contact, managing expectations, communicating progress and cultivating trusted advisory relationships with senior stakeholders
- Structure analytical approaches and synthesize complex, multi-source findings into coherent, executive-level recommendations and strategic narratives
- Direct and coach Consultant-level team members, providing structured feedback, delegating effectively and supporting their professional development
- Lead proposal development and client presentations, articulating the firm's value proposition with clarity and commercial credibility
- Identify and pursue engagement expansion opportunities, deepening existing client relationships and contributing to revenue growth targets
- Oversee project economics including budgeting, resourcing decisions and profitability monitoring across assigned accounts
- Contribute to internal practice development through knowledge management, methodology design and participation in firm-wide capability initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master's degree from an accredited institution is strongly preferred
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in management consulting or a senior strategic advisory capacity
- Proven track record of successfully leading complex client engagements from initiation through delivery within a consulting environment
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain senior client relationships, with evidence of organic account growth
- Strong expertise in at least one functional domain such as corporate strategy, operating model design or organizational transformation
- Exceptional problem-structuring, analytical reasoning and executive communication skills, including the ability to develop and defend strategic recommendations under scrutiny
- Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing junior consulting professionals
- Proficiency in advanced quantitative modelling; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau or equivalent analytics tools is advantageous
