We are looking for a Lead Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to help us build applications to improve the productivity of business processes for marketing operations. The role requires partnering with other engineering teams, business analysts and Salesforce administrators to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions across the Salesforce ecosystem.
Please note that this role follows a hybrid work model (3 days per week in the office) with working hours that may extend until 7:00 p.m. CET.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex, multi-step customer journeys using Journey Builder
- Implement backend automations using Automation Studio, including SQL Activities and Script Activities
- Build data-driven personalization solutions leveraging Data Extensions, Contact Builder, Email Studio and Cloud Pages
- Optimize SFMC solutions for scalability and performance when working with large datasets
- Develop dynamic content, custom business logic and personalized customer experiences using SSJS and AMPscript
- Create responsive email templates and Cloud Pages using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Integrate Salesforce with external platforms and third-party systems through APIs and web services
- Configure and maintain Marketing Cloud Connect synchronization between Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud using Synchronized Data Sources
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable solutions across Salesforce ecosystems
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, TPMs, architects and business stakeholders
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS) and AMPscript
- Proven experience designing and developing complex customer journeys with Journey Builder and Automation Studio
- Strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Data Extensions, Contact Builder and Email Studio
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for responsive email templates and Cloud Pages development
- Experience developing solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Visualforce, along with SOQL, REST APIs and XML
- Strong knowledge of Marketing Cloud Connect (MC Connect) and Synchronized Data Sources between Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud
- Thorough understanding of Salesforce standard and custom objects, CRM Sales and Customer Service functionality, Salesforce security architecture and integration patterns
- Familiarity with enterprise integration technologies including REST/SOAP services, Single Sign-On (SSO) and identity providers, as well as middleware platforms
- Knowledge of Salesforce automation capabilities such as Workflow Rules, Process Builder and Flows
- Experience with data migration activities, large-volume data handling, data modeling and optimization, and SaaS data models
- Strong understanding of SDLC, unit testing, bulkification principles, performance optimization and governor limits
- Background in CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, source control and release management; understanding of authentication and authorization models, scalable application design and distributed systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong ownership, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
