Lead Python Web Developer
We are expanding our Python web engineering efforts and are looking for a Lead Python Web Developer to steer delivery with strong quality and security standards. You will enhance reliability, integrate services, and lead the team through reviews, estimation, and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-performance web applications with Python technologies
- Optimize platform stability and raise service availability
- Connect third-party APIs and additional services to extend application capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accomplish shared project objectives
- Modernize and refine existing web systems to support changing business needs
- Provide code reviews and mentor developers to elevate engineering quality
- Analyze and fix technical problems affecting web platforms
- Define standards and best practices for web development workflows
- Contribute to planning and estimation for new features and product improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in web-focused software engineering roles
- At least 1 year of leadership and people supervision in development teams
- Advanced Python skills focused on web application development and ongoing maintenance
- Strong foundation in database management to enable efficient storage and retrieval
- Practical experience using Git for version control, collaborative development, and workflow optimization
- Hands-on work with Django, Flask, or FastAPI as Python web frameworks for effective delivery
- Knowledge of Python web servers for running and deploying web solutions
- Solid understanding of web application security measures and common vulnerability prevention
- Background in software development methodologies to support smooth project execution
- Experience implementing secure user authentication and authorization systems
- Demonstrated leadership through successfully guided teams or delivered projects
- English level B2+ (Upper-Intermediate) or higher, both written and spoken
Nice to have
- Understanding of cloud-based deployment and management for web applications
- Proficiency with Docker or similar tools for containerized runtime environments
- Comfort with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to support frontend user interfaces
