We are seeking a Lead Python Stack Developer to join our team. This position focuses on reinforcing cloud infrastructure and delivery workflows while embedding AI-driven enhancements into daily engineering practices. If you take pleasure in modernizing legacy systems and enjoy working across security, automation, and platform tooling, we would be glad to hear from you.
Responsibilities

- Create AI-driven enhancements to design, delivery, and triage processes
- Assess new tools and solutions as potential candidates for enterprise-level AI enablement offerings
- Design, build, and maintain AWS Lambda services and API Gateway endpoints using Python and boto3
- Head the CI/CD migration away from legacy cicd-functions pipelines toward GitHub Actions workflows
- Oversee infrastructure as code using Terraform as the primary tool, alongside Serverless frameworks
- Carry out brownfield refactors, service decommissions, and migrations, including OAuth migrations, WAF block-mode enablement, and Mythos SAST/SCA remediations
- Set up and adjust AWS WAF rules, and address security findings identified by SAST and SCA tooling
- Connect internal and third-party systems through REST APIs, such as ServiceNow OAuth client credentials flows
- Automate operational workflows and support agentic platform initiatives, with tools such as n8n, LangChain, or similar orchestration frameworks viewed as a plus
- Work with the SRE Consultant to address telemetry gaps and automate Lambda-based data collection
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Python development experience with a focus on AWS Lambda and API Gateway in production environments
- A minimum of one year of experience leading and managing development teams
- Strong fluency with boto3 across services including IAM, Secrets Manager, SSM, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and WAF
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code in production settings, including writing, refactoring, and reviewing modules
- Experience with the Serverless Framework, including maintaining and migrating legacy stacks
- Experience with AWS WAF, including rule configuration, block-mode enablement, and incident response
- Familiarity with security tooling such as SAST and SCA, along with exposure to a structured compliance programme
- A brownfield mindset, backed by a proven track record of migrations, decommissions, and refactors rather than greenfield builds
- Excellent English proficiency (B2 level or higher)
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, along with comfort operating at the forefront of a cicd-functions to GHA migration
- Familiarity with ServiceNow
- Experience with Snowflake
