Lead Go Language Developer

We're seeking an experienced Lead Go Language Developer to architect and grow scalable backend systems, enhance automated testing practices, and ensure dependable service operations. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, weigh in on architectural choices, and help elevate overall engineering quality — join us and leave your mark.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with customers, addressing their inquiries and needs promptly
• Build and sustain testing frameworks that support both unit-level and automated test coverage
• Architect, build, and maintain backend services capable of handling scale and delivering strong performance
• Coordinate with teams throughout the organization to consider broader implications beyond pure technical execution
• Take part in code review processes to uphold quality standards and spread knowledge among team members
• Take responsibility for developing or evaluating technical design documents and proof-of-concept work
• Champion strong engineering practices and advocate for raising the bar on technical standards
• Foster a mindset centered on operational reliability through diligent testing, system monitoring, thorough documentation, and active on-call participation supporting service health

Requirements

• 5+ years of direct, applicable experience building applications using Go
• A minimum of one year spent guiding and overseeing development teams
• Considerable background architecting, deploying, and sustaining cloud-hosted web services and microservices, with AWS experience considered a plus
• Hands-on experience using SQL and relational database systems, particularly PostgreSQL, for storing, querying, and managing data
• Meticulous and self-driven, with genuine enthusiasm for code excellence, sound engineering methods, continuous delivery, and automated testing
• Comfortable operating as a versatile, multi-language developer, adjusting to whatever tools and technologies best suit a given task
• Capable of interacting with customers directly and resolving their requests independently, without needing oversight
• Strong communication capabilities with English fluency at B2 level or above, sufficient to interpret business needs and shape them into technical designs

Nice to have

• Familiarity with gRPC for enabling fast, efficient communication between services
• Knowledge of Protobuf for organizing and serializing data shared across services
• Understanding of GraphQL for crafting adaptable, efficient API designs
