Lead Game Designer (Action Adventure / AA)
We’re looking for a lead game designer to own the design of an AA action adventure game and drive it from concept to release.
- Own the game’s design vision: core loop, combat, exploration, progression, and how they fit together
- Build and maintain the design documentation, from high-level pillars to feature specs
- Lead and mentor the design team, and set the bar for design quality and process
- Work closely with production, engineering, and art to turn ideas into playable builds
- Prototype, playtest, and iterate — decisions are driven by what feels good in the hands
- Balance scope and ambition against the realities of an AA budget and schedule
- Shipped at least one action or action-adventure game in a senior or lead design role
- Deep understanding of third-person combat, level flow, pacing, and player guidance
- Systems thinking: the ability to see how mechanics, economy, and narrative interact
- Experience running a design team and driving decisions across disciplines
- Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine or Unity
- Knowledge of current genre trends and what today’s players expect from an AA title

- Experience with console development and platform requirements
- Familiarity with narrative design and working alongside writers
