Lead Full-Stack / .NET Developer
We are looking for a strong Lead Full-Stack / .NET Developer to support the modernization of a legacy accounting application and its migration to Azure Cloud. The project focuses on transforming an existing desktop/monolithic application into a modern cloud-based solution based on microservices, .NET Core backend APIs, Angular frontend, and Azure platform services. The role requires hands-on engineering experience, strong backend/API development skills, and the ability to work in a modernization context where new cloud-native components need to coexist with legacy systems and shared data models. The team will also use AI-assisted delivery practices and AI agents as part of a new AI SDLC approach to improve development, analysis, testing, and delivery efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs using .NET Core / ASP.NET Core
- Support decomposition of legacy monolithic functionality into modular services and APIs
- Development and enhancement of Angular-based frontend components where needed
- Integration of application components with Azure services and existing backend systems
- Work with Azure Kubernetes Service, API Management, Application Gateway, Azure SQL and related platform services
- Contribute to technical analysis of legacy application behavior, data flows and integration points
- Implementation of clean, maintainable and testable code following engineering best practices
- Participation in code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and release activities
- Collaboration with architects, product owners, QA engineers and other developers to clarify requirements and technical constraints
- Use of AI-assisted development tools and agents as part of the project delivery process
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with .NET Core / ASP.NET Core and C#
- Solid experience in designing and implementing REST APIs
- Skills in Angular and modern frontend development
- Understanding of microservices architecture and application modernization patterns
- Experience working with relational databases, preferably Azure SQL / SQL Server
- Practical experience with Azure cloud services
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps
- Understanding of containerized application delivery, preferably Docker and Kubernetes / AKS
- Capability to work with legacy systems, existing data models and complex business logic
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and collaboration skills
- Good English communication skills
Nice to have
- Background in accounting, finance, ERP or invoicing systems
- Experience migrating desktop or monolithic applications to cloud-native architectures
- Familiarity with Azure API Management, Application Gateway, Front Door, Key Vault, Azure Monitor and Azure Container Registry
- Expertise in domain-driven design, service decomposition and API-first development
- Skills in automated testing and quality engineering practices
- Flexibility to use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or similar coding agents
- Interest in AI SDLC, agent-assisted delivery and modern software engineering automation
