Project description
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer / Architect with strong experience in AI-driven applications to lead the evolution of a GenAI-powered voice assistant used by shopfloor workers in a manufacturing environment. This role combines hands-on development, solution architecture, and technical leadership, with a focus on building scalable, real-time, AI-powered systems on Microsoft Azure. The role is part of a GenAI-powered voice assistant solution for shopfloor workers in a manufacturing environment. Existing production solution needs to be further developed, optimized, and rolled out to additional locations. • Mobile-first voice agent using LiveKit framework and GPT Realtime API (Azure OpenAI Realtime) • Real-time and document based answering o RAG: Azure AI Search + SharePoint (ingestion via Graph API) o Real-time data: Snowflake via MCP (Cortex Analyst) • Azure Container Apps, Python backend, TypeScript/React frontend
Responsibilities
- What You'll Work On A mobile-first voice assistant using real-time AI capabilities Integration of LLM-based responses (Azure OpenAI GPT Realtime API) RAG pipelines combining: Azure AI Search SharePoint (via Microsoft Graph API) Real-time data integration via Snowflake (Cortex Analyst / MCP) Cloud-native deployment using Azure Container Apps What You'll Do Solution Ownership Own and evolve a production-grade GenAI solution Improve performance, scalability, and reliability Support rollout to additional locations Hands-On Development Build and maintain backend services in Python Develop AI features (RAG, agents, real-time processing) Implement and extend integrations with enterprise systems Architecture & Leadership Define and guide system architecture Make key technical decisions across AI and cloud components Ensure scalable, secure Azure-based deployments Team Collaboration Mentor and support engineers Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices Collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders Quality & Delivery Ensure high-quality, production-ready code Improve observability (logging, monitoring, debugging) Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes

- Python, REST APIs, containerized microservices architectures
