A leading IT company and Hi-Tech Park (HTP) resident is seeking a highly qualified Lawyer to lead legal support for personal data compliance in Belarus, and support labor law and data privacy matters in other CIS locations.

Responsibilities
- Lead the in-house legal team’s data privacy support for Belarus and over time for other locations within the CIS region
- Draft, review and negotiate internal policies, consents, DPAs, employment and commercial contract clauses and other legal documents related to personal data protection
- Advise on complex labor law issues in a selection of CIS locations
- Author and maintain country-specific employment templates (labor agreement, NDAs, full material liability agreements, orders and other similar acts)
- Liaise with privacy and labor regulatory authorities and represent the company during audits and inspections
- Monitor and analyze legislative developments in personal data protection in Belarus and privacy and labor law for other locations within the CIS region ensuring timely implementation of necessary changes
- Provide internal consultations to promote compliance and raise awareness among management regarding data privacy and labor law requirements
- Responsibly engage and manage local external counsels and associated budget
- Establish strong and effective working relationships with business partners in various disciplines
- Participate in cross-functional meetings with global colleagues with the ability to quickly analyze and address matters under discussion
- Drive consistency among regions and efficiency in approach
- Regularly report on active matters and workload statistics to the Regional Employment and Privacy Law Lead
Requirements
- Practicing attorney for 3+ years
- Deep expertise in personal data matters in the Republic of Belarus
- Proficient English skills at B2+ level and above
- A responsible attitude towards work, attention to detail and a meticulous and analytical approach to problem-solving
- Strong written and oral communication skills especially when explaining complex legal issues to business clients
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage numerous projects under deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding work environment
- Expertise in building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal business clients
- Responsive, friendly and service-oriented “can-do” attitude
- Flexible team player willing to work on a variety of matters
