Junior Data Software Engineer

We are seeking a Junior Data Software Engineer to support our client's initiative to upgrade their BI infrastructure by adopting the Lakehouse paradigm. In this role, you will contribute to migrating the existing BI estate to a modern Lakehouse architecture built on Databricks technology hosted on MS Azure, including real-time data feeds through Spark Streaming and Kafka, as well as migrating SSRS reports to Power BI.

Please note that working from the customer's office is required 1 day per week.

Responsibilities

• Migrate existing SSRS reports to Power BI, ensuring functional and data consistency
• Design, build and maintain data pipelines supporting Power BI reporting and analytics
• Support testing, validation and optimization of migrated data and reporting solutions
• Design and implement real-time data ingestion pipelines using Apache Spark Streaming on Azure Databricks

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in data software engineering
• Proficiency in Apache Kafka and Azure Databricks
• Knowledge of Power BI and SSRS
• Skills in Apache Spark Streaming
• Understanding of Lakehouse architecture and data pipeline design
• Familiarity with MS Azure
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
