Java KDB+ Developer (Junior/Mid/Senior)
We are seeking high-caliber Software Engineers specializing in KDB+/Q and Java to join our team. You will help build the strategic analytics backbone and low-latency execution platforms that power our Equities Electronic Trading product.
Essential functions
As part of our team, you will collaborate with engineers and quantitative researchers to deliver the next generation of trading technology. Responsibilities scale with experience:
- Senior Level: Lead technical design and rigorous code reviews; architect high-performance, low-latency systems; and provide technical mentorship to the wider team.
- Mid-Level: Design and optimize business-critical high-frequency systems; build solutions for platform monitoring and trade reconciliation; and resolve complex technical challenges through in-depth analysis.
- Junior Level: Support the development of KDB+ and Java applications; contribute to testing frameworks and CI/CD processes; and assist in implementing robust trading functionalities under the guidance of senior leads.
Qualifications
- KDB+/Q: Proficiency in developing, scaling, and optimizing query performance for large datasets.
- Java/Object-Oriented Programming: Experience building low-latency execution platforms with a deep understanding of concurrency and memory management.
- Financial Expertise: Familiarity with market protocols (e.g., FIX) and handling order/market datasets.
- Agile Mindset: Comfort working with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Communication: Ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business partners.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s preferred)
