We are looking for a passionate and proactive Community Manager to lead and grow our Japanese-speaking community
(日本語対応コミュニティマネージャー). You will be the bridge between our product team and the community, ensuring our users are engaged, heard, and supported. This is a unique opportunity to shape a growing community in a fast-paced, international environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Build and grow a thriving Japanese-speaking community, supporting creators and developing self-sustaining ecosystems;
- Drive engagement through posts, campaigns, and community activations while maintaining a positive and inclusive tone;
- Moderate community spaces (Discord, etc.), manage feedback, and resolve conflicts professionally;
- Ensure creators are connected to support channels and have access to relevant resources;
- Localize and adapt onboarding materials, guides, and announcements for the Japanese audience;
- Support and represent the community at online and offline events, including creator coordination and post-event reporting;
- Gather and analyze community feedback, track sentiment and key metrics, and share insights with Product teams;
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Support, and other teams to improve user experience and community outcomes;
- Monitor market trends and competitors, contributing community insights to strategic decisions.
You’ll thrive here if you have
- Native-level Japanese proficiency;
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher (internal communication is in English);
- 1+ year of experience as a Community Manager, Content Manager, or Social Media Manager in an online project;
- Experience managing or moderating online communities (Discord is a strong plus);
- Strong communication skills—empathetic, diplomatic, and culturally aware;
- Ability to handle conflict resolution and maintain a psychologically safe environment;
- Highly organized, attentive to detail, and capable of managing multiple initiatives;
- Self-driven and proactive—you take ownership and act independently;
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret community data and feedback;
Nice to have
- Experience working with creator communities or platforms;
- Familiarity with community analytics tools;
- Additional language skills are a plus.
