IT Systems Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our studio's technological infrastructure. This is a hands-on technical position focused on infrastructure, systems administration, troubleshooting, security, and user support. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT Director, IT staff, and other departments to ensure reliable and efficient IT operations across the studio and complete the below responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to employees on hardware, software, and network-related issues
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and network devices
• Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime and reliability
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner
• Implement security protocols and procedures to protect against cybersecurity threats
• Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring appropriate access levels are maintained
• Collaborate with other departments to identify technological requirements and propose solutions
• Maintain inventory records of IT equipment, software licenses, and peripherals
• Assist in prioritizing and coordinating day-to-day IT activities
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior IT staff when required
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in the gaming industry to make recommendations for improvement
• Document IT processes, procedures, and configurations for reference and training purposes
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and process improvements
• Assist in the procurement and lifecycle management of IT equipment and peripherals
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, technical support, or enterprise IT environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewalls, SMB/Samba, NFS, SSH, and RDP
• Knowledge of Linux (CentOS, Red Hat, Debian, Ubuntu)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (ESXi, Proxmox, XCP-ng)
• Experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
• Experience with Active Directory
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, and Intune
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, Zero Trust, and security best practices
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, CMD, or similar)
• Experience working with ticket handling systems
• Experience managing version control systems, preferably Helix (Perforce)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience working in game development or software development environments
• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Perforce
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts
• Experience with server administration and virtualization technologies
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues independently
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and protocols
• Experience in assembling, disassembling, diagnosing, and performing preventive maintenance on computers and related hardware
• Experience working with gaming consoles
• Experience crimping ethernet cables (RJ-45)
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Experience supporting multi-site environments is considered an advantage
