Responsibilities
- Define iOS architecture (modules, data flow, dependency boundaries) and long-term technical roadmap
- Lead complex initiatives such as offline sync, payments, security, accessibility and performance strategy
- Establish platform standards (linting, conventions, testing strategy, release strategy)
- Champion observability through metrics, tracing, crash analytics and SLOs; run postmortems and reduce operational risk
- Mentor/coach engineers; conduct design reviews; influence product and engineering strategy
- Coordinate with Backend, Data and Product on platform-wide concerns
- Own compliance aspects, including privacy, data retention, encryption and permissions
Requirements
- Expert level proficiency in Swift, including async/await, concurrency patterns and architectural patterns such as MVVM, TCA, or Clean Architecture
- Deep understanding of the iOS runtime, memory model, profiling tools (Instruments) and advanced performance tuning techniques
- Strong experience with security & privacy practices: Keychain, Secure Enclave, encrypted storage, transport security, and secure data flows
- Proven track record of building and shipping largescale consumer apps with millions of active sessions and high stability
- Ability to define and evolve iOS architecture, platform conventions, testing strategy, release process and long-term technical roadmap
