Head of Procurement

We're currently seeking a Head of Procurement to lead procurement across our construction programme in Germany. You will own our external contractor and supplier base, negotiate directly with German and Chinese building-material suppliers, and build the end-to-end procurement process that our construction projects will run on - shaping and growing the existing procurement team as the programme scales.

• Owning procurement for the full construction programme, from material sourcing through contracting and delivery;
• Leading negotiations with German and Chinese suppliers of building materials, securing commercial terms, discounts and reliable supply;
• Building and embedding an end-to-end procurement process covering sourcing, qualification, tendering, contracting, and supplier performance management;
• Managing the external contractor base, including selection, commercial terms, and ongoing relationships;
• Shaping and developing the procurement team, defining category ownership and adding capacity as the programme grows;
• Working closely with construction, engineering, manufacturing and logistics teams to align procurement with project schedules and production plans;
• Controlling material costs and lead times, and reporting on savings, risks and supplier performance;
• Supporting procurement for R&D and lab operations alongside the construction workload.

• Proven experience leading procurement for construction, prefabrication, or industrial manufacturing programmes;
• Track record negotiating with international suppliers, ideally including German and Chinese building-material markets;
• Experience designing and implementing procurement processes rather than only operating existing ones;
• Strong commercial and contractual judgement, with a clear record of cost and lead-time improvements;
• Experience managing and developing a procurement team, including category structure and supplier ownership;
• Readiness to travel regularly to suppliers, project sites, and our facilities in Germany and Serbia;
• Professional fluency in English, with German as a strong advantage, and a degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
