Google Cloud Technology Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Technology Consultant to join our team and drive enterprise cloud transformation initiatives.

In this role, you will partner with clients to design future-state GCP architectures, guide application modernization efforts, and serve as a trusted technical advisor across complex cloud programs. You will collaborate closely with pre-sales, engineering, and delivery teams to shape scalable, secure, and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with enterprise clients to assess existing application and infrastructure landscapes and define future-state GCP architecture and transformation strategies
• Advise clients across cloud platform engineering, cloud-native adoption, application modernization, and migration
• Architect enterprise GCP environments covering organization structure, landing zones, networking, IAM, security, governance, observability, and platform services
• Define modernization approaches for legacy and enterprise applications, including re-platforming, refactoring, containerization, microservices adoption, and cloud-native re-architecture
• Guide architecture using services such as GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Pub/Sub, Apigee, and other GCP managed services
• Lead large-scale workload assessments and define migration and modernization strategies, including rehost, re-platform, refactor, and re-architect
• Advise engineering teams on scalable application architectures, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, integration patterns, and distributed systems
• Shape technical solutions for RFPs, proposals, architecture workshops, and client discussions in collaboration with pre-sales, engineering, and delivery teams
• Evaluate opportunities to leverage GenAI and Vertex AI capabilities within cloud transformation and application modernization programs
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, bringing clarity and architectural direction to complex enterprise cloud transformation initiatives

Requirements

• 16-22 years of overall IT experience with strong background in enterprise architecture, cloud consulting, systems/platform architecture, or application architecture
• Hands-on architectural expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including compute, networking, IAM, security, storage, governance, observability, and managed services
• Proficiency in designing enterprise cloud foundations, including GCP Landing Zones, Organization/Folder/Project structures, Shared VPC, IAM, and Organization Policies
• Skills in GKE/Kubernetes, containers, and Cloud Run for cloud-native application platforms
• Proven capability in application modernization, including migration from monolithic or legacy applications toward microservices, containerized, API-driven, or event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with application architecture and development technologies such as Java, .NET, or Python
• Background in enterprise-scale cloud migration and modernization programs
• Understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and messaging/event streaming, along with databases, caching, and distributed application architectures
• Ability to engage with senior business and technology stakeholders and translate business transformation objectives into practical cloud architecture
• Experience contributing to pre-sales, solutioning, RFPs, architecture assessments, and client workshops
• Capability to operate as a senior individual contributor and influence enterprise architecture decisions across cloud platform and application modernization initiatives

Nice to have

• Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or other relevant GCP certifications
• Exposure to AWS or Azure
• Experience with multi-cloud transformation programs
