Description
Nebius Academy (powered by TripleTen) partners with forward-thinking companies to help technical teams adopt AI safely and build practical, job-ready skills that drive measurable business impact.
We design hands-on learning experiences that help engineers apply AI tools in real-world workflows, from agent design and orchestration to MCP integrations, AI security, and cost optimization across modern AI-powered development environments.
As part of our AI-Assisted Programming Advanced program, we're looking for an experienced AWS Kiro Expert / Consultant who is an AWS Authorized Instructor specifically authorized for Spec-Driven Development with Kiro (AMWSSDDK). You will adapt three existing technical workshops to AWS Kiro and deliver them to experienced engineering teams. This is an adaptation and facilitation role rather than content authoring: you'll bring existing labs into the Kiro environment, ensure they work effectively with the client's setup, and guide participants through practical exercises covering architecture reasoning agents, MCP server security, and AI agent cost optimization.
What you will do
- Adapt three existing hands-on workshops from our AI-Assisted Programming Advanced program to run effectively in AWS Kiro, preserving the original learning objectives and technical depth rather than creating new curriculum from scratch.
- Deliver practical 90–120 minute workshops for mid-to-senior engineering teams already working with Kiro and agentic AI tools.
- Apply your Kiro-specific AWS instructor expertise to ensure the adapted workshops follow the appropriate AWS Kiro workflows and technical practices.
- Guide participants through building and evaluating architecture reasoning agents, including agent decomposition, ADR and architecture-diagram inputs, Mermaid generation through MCP, and decisions around sub-agent use.
- Demonstrate and facilitate hands-on work with MCP server security, including prompt injection, tool poisoning, token passthrough, scope-based authorization, and simulated OAuth flows.
- Help engineers review, test, and patch MCP server code using Python MCP SDK, FastMCP, and uv, including live demonstrations of vulnerabilities and mitigations.
- Run the AI Agent Cost Lab, helping participants measure token usage, identify cost drivers, and optimize agent configuration and tool-layer architecture while preserving solution quality.
- Explain and compare manual, single-agent, multi-agent, and tool-assisted approaches and help participants assess when additional orchestration complexity is justified.
- Review the client's existing Kiro configuration, MCP setup, and AI tooling before delivery and adapt each workshop to their environment lab by lab.
- Collaborate with the Nebius Academy team and subject-matter experts to validate and refine the adapted workshop materials before delivery.
Requirements
Must have
- Current AWS Authorized Instructor status with active authorization for Spec-Driven Development with Kiro (AMWSSDDK).
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS Kiro as a regular working tool, including real-world use of steering files, execution modes, MCP configuration, and agent workflows.
- Solid practical experience with agentic AI systems and the ability to design, evaluate, and compare single-agent, multi-agent, and tool-assisted approaches.
- Practical knowledge of MCP at both client and server level, including connecting external capabilities, reading and patching handler code, and working with MCP-based integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Python, including Python MCP SDK, FastMCP, and uv, sufficient to adapt and facilitate technical labs.
- Strong understanding of MCP security, including prompt injection, tool poisoning, token passthrough, scope-based authorization, and OAuth-based authorization flows.
- Experience with AI agent cost analysis and optimization, including token usage, agent configuration hygiene, and tool-layer optimization.
- Experience delivering hands-on technical workshops or training for engineering audiences.
- Professional fluency in English.
Nice to have
- Experience delivering Kiro-specific AWS training to engineering audiences.
- Experience working with Amazon Bedrock.
- Experience with Docker and containerized MCP servers.
- Experience adapting existing technical curriculum, labs, or developer documentation to a different toolchain or client environment.
- Additional advanced AWS certifications beyond those required for the instructor authorization.
What we can offer you
- The opportunity to share your expertise while maintaining your primary job: Adapt and deliver hands-on AWS Kiro workshops without leaving your current role.
- Competitive hourly rate of $90–$130 USD, negotiable based on expertise: We are open to discussing a higher rate for exceptional candidates with particularly strong AWS Kiro expertise and relevant instructor experience.
- Remote cooperation with a schedule convenient for both you and the team: We can work with experts across different locations and time zones.
- Work with experienced engineering audiences: Help mid-to-senior engineers deepen their practical skills with Kiro, MCP, and agentic AI systems.
- A focused adaptation project rather than full content authoring: Work with existing workshop materials and labs and adapt them to AWS Kiro and the client's technical environment.
- Hands-on work with advanced AI engineering topics: Contribute to workshops covering architecture reasoning agents, MCP security, agent orchestration, and AI agent cost optimization.
- Potential for continued collaboration: Strong experts may be invited to contribute to future AI engineering workshops, courses, and related projects.
