We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support enterprise-level applications running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8) servers. In this role, you will ensure the stability, readiness and daily maintenance of development, test and production environments for a global financial services partner.
You will collaborate closely with infrastructure teams to complete server builds, manage NAS storage and ensure all environments are monitored and compliant. Working within an Agile framework, you will leverage Ansible-based automation and standard CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments, optimize system performance and maintain application health.
Responsibilities
- Maintain daily environment stability and readiness across development, test and production setups
- Automate operational tasks and maintenance using Ansible and Bash or Linux shell scripting
- Deploy and configure software while managing source control, continuous integration and deployment best practices
- Execute routine technical operations — including business continuity planning (BCP) exercises, health checks and issue prevention
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams for server build-outs, patching, upgrades and configuration changes
- Manage NAS storage setup, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Support application integration projects and enterprise tools like NetCool and Autosys
Requirements
- Strong hands-on background in Linux (RHEL 8) system administration and basic infrastructure setup
- Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management and environment standardization
- Solid experience writing Bash and Linux shell scripts for automation
- Background in supporting Spring Boot applications and maintaining Nginx web servers in Linux environments
- Working knowledge of GBase 8a and PostgreSQL database maintenance and operations
- Familiarity with load balancing, high availability, disaster recovery concepts and standard CI/CD pipelines
- Clear communication in Mandarin and English to effectively collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams
- Banking or financial services experience, preferably within a local branch of a foreign bank
- Familiarity with standard enterprise banking tools and Unix application deployment
