Data Scientist (Python/GCP)
We are looking for a skilled Mid Data Scientist to join our data team. In this role, you will be responsible for extracting valuable insights from complex datasets, building predictive models, and contributing to data-driven decision-making. You will work in a modern technical environment, collaborating closely with engineering and product teams to turn raw data into scalable machine learning solutions.
Essential functions
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Design, train, and deploy machine learning models into production environments.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to support data processing and model training.
- Collaborate with data engineers to optimize data pipelines and ensure data quality.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, business-focused recommendations for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven commercial experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and its data science ecosystem (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn).
- Solid hands-on experience with SQL and querying relational databases.
- Strong, practical experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Practical knowledge of designing, evaluating, and deploying Machine Learning algorithms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Would be a plus
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop).
- Knowledge of Deep Learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with ML model deployment and MLOps practices.
