Data Governance Architect

We're looking for a Data Governance Architect to join our team in Poland. The role is critical to designing and evolving a scalable, secure data platform with strong governance and metadata management practices. As a trusted advisor, you will shape the data architecture strategy, integrate advanced technologies, and enhance compliance and quality standards across the platform. Your impact will directly influence sustainable data practices, enabling the client to meet operational and regulatory needs while fostering future innovation.

Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze existing data environments and infrastructure to identify gaps and improvement areas
• Design and continuously evolve the target-state data platform architecture aligned with governance and compliance standards
• Define and guide the implementation of data governance frameworks and metadata management strategies
• Drive Informatica onboarding by enabling metadata cataloging, business glossary creation, and user adoption
• Ensure seamless integration of Informatica with Databricks and other platform components
• Develop roadmaps for onboarding diverse data products onto governance platforms
• Consult stakeholders on governance, data quality, and metadata practices throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct upskilling sessions and workshops to enhance team capabilities in data architecture and governance
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams on technical implementation and integration
• Leverage AI-enabled approaches to optimize architecture processes and accelerate delivery

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data solution architecture
• Expertise in designing scalable data architectures within governance and compliance frameworks
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, AWS, and Informatica-based ecosystems
• Skilled in metadata management, data quality practices, and governance policy implementation
• Proven consulting ability to define strategy and influence cross-functional teams
• Hands-on experience with Informatica (Cloud Data Governance and Catalog) implementation
• Solid understanding of multi-cloud integrations and enterprise-scale data management
• Excellent communication and advisory skills for business and technical stakeholders

Nice to have

• Experience in the biopharmaceutical or life sciences sector
• Familiarity with AI-driven data governance tools and automation frameworks
• Knowledge of regulatory standards related to data privacy and security (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
