Data Engineer with GCP
About the Position
We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong experience in Google Cloud Platform to support data pipeline development, data warehousing, and reporting needs. In this role, you will work with BigQuery, DBT, Cloud Functions, and related GCP services to build scalable and maintainable data solutions.

The project is focused on delivering seamless payment experiences across commerce scenarios. The work includes building and improving data pipelines, warehousing, and reporting foundations that support business insights and operational reliability.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform components like BigQuery, DBT, and Cloud Functions
- Ensure efficient and reliable data flow from various sources into data warehouses and downstream systems
- Design and implement data warehousing solutions on BigQuery
- Develop and manage ETL processes to ingest, transform, and store data efficiently
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable insights
- Design and implement scalable and efficient data models in BigQuery
- Optimize SQL queries and ETL processes for performance and cost efficiency
- Automate data processing tasks using Cloud scheduler or any orchestration compatible with GCP and other GCP automation tools
- Ensure that data pipelines and BI processes are robust, scalable, and maintainable
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Contribute to data governance practices, including data cataloging and documentation
Requirements
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, DBT, and Cloud Functions
- Data pipeline design, maintenance, and optimization ETL process development and management
- Experience in ETL process development and management
- Experience with data warehousing on BigQuery
- Experience in SQL query optimization
- Experience in scalable data model design in BigQuery
- Experience with data automation using Cloud Scheduler and GCP tools
- Experience with data quality checks and monitoring
- Experience with data governance and documentation practices
