About the role
You'll own analytics for Salmon's internal communications and notifications platform — the system that decides how, when, and how often customers hear from us across every product.
What you'll do
- Work across product teams whose campaigns run on the same shared platform — every optimization you make compounds across the business
- Balance engagement, cost, and customer experience: push more and open rates drop; push less and reach shrinks
- Move product teams from "ask analytics for a report" to self-service, so campaign decisions happen faster and with less friction
What you'll own
- Track and analyze delivery, open, and engagement rates across communication channels, and turn the numbers into decisions
- Monitor communication costs and identify optimization opportunities
- Develop and maintain frequency capping rules to prevent customer over-communication
- Build a self-service tool that lets product teams set up and manage communication campaigns independently
- Support product teams with communication configuration until the self-service tooling is in place
What makes you a strong fit
- 1.5+ years of experience in a data or analytics role
- Strong SQL skills — able to write and review complex queries independently
- Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
- Structured, critical thinking — you can translate business needs into analytical frameworks
- High attention to detail and accuracy in analytical work
- Bonus: experience with product or marketing analytics (push, email, or CRM channels), or building self-service dashboards or analytical tools
