Cubic Games is a game development studio within the GDEV holding. Our mission is to make games people keep coming back to for years. We created Pixel Gun 3D, one of the most popular pixel shooters, with 300M+ downloads and over 5M monthly players. In 2026 we released Pixel Gun 2.
Small team. Big games. We’re building a new kind of studio. AI is built into our key processes and takes care of the routine, while a small team of experienced specialists owns the decisions, ideas and quality. Everyone owns their area: they propose goals and an approach, align them with their manager, and see the results of their work in a product played by millions.
We combine the stability of a studio within a large holding with the energy of a startup. We make decisions fast while keeping the quality checks that matter. We discuss work openly and respectfully, trust expertise, and back ideas that deliver measurable results.
About the role:
You decide how millions of players will see us before they even install the game.
We’re looking for a Creative Producer to set the direction for Cubic Games’ ad creatives, from videos and banners to playable ads. You’ll work on two shooters, each with its own challenge.
Pixel Gun 3D is a legend of the genre, in the top charts for more than ten years. Here you’ll need to keep finding fresh ideas for a game the audience already knows well, and keep creatives from burning out.
Pixel Gun 2 is a new game in its early global launch. Almost everything here starts from a blank page: first concepts, new markets, and the search for a visual language that will hook players around the world.
Together with the UA, production and art teams, you’ll look for ideas that bring in players and scale. You’ll break down launch results, find patterns that work, form hypotheses and test them quickly in practice.
You’ll have two engines. The first is your own in-house production, which you’ll develop. The second is an AI-powered creative system that generates and tests dozens of variations. But you make the call: which ideas to push, where to go next and what the result should be.
We need someone who leads the creative direction on their own: who doesn’t wait for ready-made ideas but comes up with them, tests them, develops them and turns them into clear tasks for artists, animators and the whole team.
Responsibilities:
- Shape the creative strategy: define priority directions, formats and approaches, and choose which hypotheses to test and which ideas to scale.
- Analyze creative performance: study past launch results, track trends and look for correlations between key marketing metrics.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of creative hypotheses based on data, market insights and your own expertise.
- Come up with and develop concepts for video ads, banners and playable ads.
- Turn ideas into clear briefs and take them to launch together with artists, animators and other specialists.
- Review test results, understand the reasons behind successes and failures, and define the next iterations.
- Study competitors’ creatives, follow trends and find approaches that can be adapted and developed for our games.
- Develop in-house production: build processes, set priorities and help the team maintain the right pace and quality.
- Manage the AI-powered system for creative production at scale: set directions, assign tasks, select the best results and control quality at every stage.
- Use AI tools to quickly prototype gameplay ideas, locations, action and combat scenes, characters and other creative elements.
- Collaborate closely with the UA and Production teams, as well as other participants in the creative process.
- Take part in brainstorms, retrospectives and creative reviews, share insights and help teams apply accumulated experience in future launches.
What we expect from a candidate:
- 3+ years in creative ideation and production, creative marketing or a similar role in gamedev.
- Extensive experience with UA video ads, from concept to results analysis.
- Experience with banners and other static formats.
- Experience creating playable ads.
- The ability to come up with hypotheses, explain their logic and turn them into clear tasks.
- Production management experience: processes, priorities, balancing speed and quality.
- Experience launching or scaling AI-powered production.
- Experience building your own creative team.
- Confident work with data: you look not only at the creative itself but at its numbers, spot patterns and draw conclusions.
- AI for video and graphics as an everyday work tool rather than a toy, and an understanding of how to build it into an ongoing process.
- Experience working with artists and motion designers.
- Understanding of game design and level design fundamentals.
- Strong gaming literacy, especially in shooters and midcore on mobile, PC and consoles.
- The ability to give clear feedback and drive an idea to results instead of dropping it after the first failed test.
