As a Collections Team Lead, you will provide day-today work to the group, conducts workload study, plans activities, sets direction, and provides supervision to and evaluation of direct reports. This role plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the collections department, ensuring efficient and effective debt recovery processes. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of collections specialists, developing, and implementing collection strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows.
Responsibilities
- Prepares, coordinates and supervises the daily activities of the Desk Collectors
- Assists Desk Collectors or recommends collection techniques for difficult situations
- Provides the necessary coaching to direct reports
- Generates daily, weekly, monthly reports related to performance updates and KPIs
- Escalates the necessary items to management
- Processes reversals when necessary
- Ensures resolution of customer issues raised through the Collection Department
- Attains the set targets
- Adheres to the Central Bank and the Company's policies
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Management to fulfil organizational and regulatory requirements
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field
- With at least, one (1) year of previous Collections Team Leader experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates a high level of technical proficiency regarding Client and Company collection systems and processes which measurably exceeds minimal requirements
- High degree of drive and determination to achieve or exceed set goals
