Client Engagement Lead - CPG/Retail Specialist - Data & AI

We are seeking an experienced Client Engagement Lead (Director level) to join our Data & AI Practice in a hybrid working mode in the United Kingdom.

In this role, you will own CPG and Retail client engagements, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and shaping transformative data and AI strategies to solve complex business challenges. You will drive measurable outcomes while positioning EPAM as a leader in the CPG/Retail sectors, contributing to meaningful commercial growth.

Responsibilities

• Advance EPAM’s CPG/Retail presence by owning key client relationships with C-level and senior stakeholders to deliver exceptional business outcomes
• Develop and steer data and AI strategies tailored to industry challenges, such as supply chain optimization, customer personalization, and demand forecasting
• Assume full accountability for engagements, from vision to execution, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with client business objectives
• Drive account and revenue growth by identifying opportunities, leading presales initiatives, and shaping commercially viable large-scale proposals
• Effectively manage scope, risks, and client expectations across multiple large-scale accounts
• Mentor and guide cross-functional teams to achieve delivery excellence, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
• Represent EPAM as a thought leader by contributing subject matter expertise at strategic workshops, industry conferences, and client advisory sessions
• Ensure data governance, AI integration, and analytics best practices are applied across all industry-focused solutions
• Monitor emerging CPG/Retail trends and recommend solutions aligned with market developments
• Collaborate with business development teams to refine go-to-market strategies for the CPG/Retail client portfolio

Requirements

• Extensive experience leading strategic client engagements in consulting, professional services or enterprise environments
• Extensive knowledge of the CPG/Retail industry, with evidence of applying insights to address real-world sector challenges
• Ability to influence C-level stakeholders and build credibility through strong business and technical communication
• Experience developing and presenting commercially focused proposals to secure large-scale engagements
• Working knowledge of modern data technologies, machine learning, analytics, and AI, with the ability to align technical capabilities to business priorities
• Strong capability in strategic problem-solving and value framing for enterprise CPG/Retail clients
• Leadership experience in building, mentoring, and guiding high-performing, cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of evolving trends in data analytics, AI, and industry-specific technologies (e.g., supply chain platforms in retail)
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certifications in cloud, AI, or data science (e.g., MBA) are nice-to-haves
• UK-based, with flexibility to travel within the UK and Western Europe as necessary
