About the Position
We are looking for a Business Analyst with hands-on Trainline experience to support one of our projects.
The role will focus on product and business analysis, API integrations, and close collaboration between business partners and technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and translated into effective technical solutions.
As part of the initiative, the Business Analyst will support the integration of three new Trainline providers into the existing reconciliation platform. This will involve analyzing current and target processes, clarifying business requirements, identifying integration gaps and dependencies, working closely with engineering teams on API-related requirements, and helping ensure a smooth end-to-end implementation.

The program focuses on integrating online booking capabilities, fulfillment services, travel content, payment solutions, finance operations, and back office processes into a seamless travel ecosystem.
About the Team
You will collaborate with a cross functional team consisting of Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Solution Consultants, Project Managers, Product Specialists, and client stakeholders. The team works in a highly collaborative environment focused on defining business capabilities, optimizing processes, and delivering scalable travel platform solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define current and future state workflows across booking, fulfillment, servicing, payments, finance operations, and back office processes
- Facilitate workshops with business, product, operations, finance, and technical stakeholders
- Break down high level capabilities into epics, features, work packages, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Document business rules, exception scenarios, operational handoffs, and system touchpoints
- Support gap analysis between legacy processes and future state platform models
- Collaborate with architects and consultants to align business requirements with solution design
- Identify dependencies, assumptions, risks, and open questions to support delivery planning
- Contribute to process optimization and operational readiness activities
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Business Analyst, or Functional Analyst
- Experience within travel, Travel Management Companies, airlines, booking platforms, fulfillment services, payments, finance operations, or back office domains
- Understanding of corporate travel booking processes, including air, hotel, and car reservations
- Experience working with GDS platforms, Online Booking Tools, travel APIs, or integration focused systems
- Knowledge of PNR lifecycle management, ticketing, queues, and booking synchronization
- Strong experience in process mapping, user story creation, epic definition, and acceptance criteria documentation
- Ability to convert high level business objectives into clear and structured delivery scope
- Experience collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders
- Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills
Nice to Have
- Understanding of NDC, direct connect travel content, or GDS consolidation approaches
- Experience with invoice approval workflows, reconciliation processes, expense automation, or back office reporting
- Experience defining operating models for new products, partnerships, or enterprise customer onboarding initiatives
- Familiarity with large scale platform transformation or integration programs
- Experience working in corporate travel technology environments with multiple third party integrations
- Experience with Trainline or similar travel/rail distribution platforms, reconciliation processes, and complex third-party integrations would be highly valuable.
