Big Data Engineer Intern (Scala)

Essential functions

• Hands-on technical experience
• Learning under the supervision of mentors
• Experience in commercial projects

Qualifications

• Java or Scala background.
• Algorithms basics (SQL/RDS basics (e.g. syntax, normalization principles)
• Understanding of code quality principles (unit, functional, integration, performance testing)
• Good knowledge in Java or Scala:
  • OOP
  • Multi threading
  • Data structures/types
  • Loops, conditions, variables, functions, logical and arithmetical Operators, etc.
  • I/O
  • HTTP/HTTPS/TCP protocols
  • JVM
  • RDBs
  • Tools (With Java: Spring, Hibernate, other kind of frameworks for one or another language)
• English: Upper-intermediate or higher (spoken and written)
• Education: Undergraduate (Bachelor's) or graduate (Master's) student preferably specialized in Computer Science or related fields.

Would be a plus

• On-hands experience with version of control (e.g. GIT)
• Problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and other soft skills
