Azure Technology Leader

We're seeking an Azure Technology Leader to join our dynamic team in the Baltics region. The role is focused on developing strategic cloud designs and implementing cloud architectures and applications for our clients. Additionally, it involves spearheading R&D and IP creation for EPAM's Cloud Practice.

This position encourages the promotion of cloud technology expertise and a culture of engineering excellence within our teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive application development and modernization at scale by designing and implementing cloud architectures and applications that fulfill performance, scalability, and security requirements
• Design and implement Azure Cloud strategies and best practices for our clients
• Develop and execute cloud migration plans, multi-cloud strategies, and manage cloud-based infrastructure
• Apply and manage agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of applications
• Provide oversight for significant and strategic delivery projects executed
• Promote and nurture a DevOps culture within the engineering team, fostering collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement
• Communication and Stakeholder Management:
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including clients, executives, and technical and non-technical staff
• Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely

Requirements

• Avid technologist playing a technology leadership role in a leading international or local company
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Azure computing services
• Proficiency in managing distributed teams and working in a matrix environment
• Competency in modern cloud application development approaches, such as serverless computing, microservices, and containers
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to proactively organize and influence stakeholders
• Strong communication skills with proficiency in articulating technical ideas in business-friendly language, accompanied by experience in public speaking and client presentations
• The readiness to undertake regular business trips, both domestic and international
• B2 written and spoken English

Nice to have

• Software engineering background in complex enterprise application development in Java, .NET or Python
• Ability to speak in local language
