As part of our client's ongoing efforts to strengthen their testing practices, we are moving towards a more rigorous and time-boxed testing approach. A key component of this transition is increasing the level of test automation across their workstreams. Looking for an Automation Tester who can support in accelerating automation coverage and improving overall testing efficiency. This change is aligned with our broader quality engineering roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Configure and test any changes required for FX application and reporting enhancements to large bank-wide initiatives.
- Develop Oracle SQL procedures, Windows schedulers, and batch scripts for new reports.
- Work closely with businesses to deliver new enhancements and projects in FX space.
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
- Prepare and support releases of software components.
- Well-versed with agile approaches depending on the project and context, using Scrum, Kanban, or other approaches as we see fit.
SKILLS
Must have
- Overall 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in GUI Automation/ test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Smartbear TestComplete or UFT (Unified Functional Testing) is a must-have
- Experience in Java or Python
- Good to have some capital market (FX or any asset class, Trade life cycle, Payments) experience
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages relevant to automation (e.g., [Language - to be updated])
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests within build workflows
- Good understanding of test strategy, test design techniques, and defect management
- Experience working in Agile delivery models
- Ability to independently analyze requirements and identify automation opportunities
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Nice to have
• Experience in Front and back Office environments dealing with institutional trading, settlement, payment, and reconciliation
• Familiarity with financial products, particularly FX and MM
