AP Accountant

We are seeking an AP Accountant with a finance or accounting background to join our team in Belarus. This role involves collaborating with the global shared service Accounts Payable team to support the month-end close and various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Check correctness of accounting attributes for expenditure supporting documents
• Make bank payments to EPAM counterparties, including domestic and foreign wire payments as well as batch and individual transfers
• Perform US GAAP bookkeeping of company expenditures by type, including respective AP and bank payments
• Complete monthly accounting close of relevant accounts in SAP according to established procedures
• Communicate with local statutory accountants on bookkeeping issues as needed
• Provide explanations and supporting documentation to the Senior or Lead Accountant for all in-scope companies when required
• Address audit requests and participate in meetings with external and internal auditors
• Participate in regular improvement process activities with the IT development team, analyze areas for improvement and test new enhancements

Requirements

• Finance or accounting background
• 1+ years of accounting working experience
• Familiarity with MS Office and especially Excel
• English level B2 or higher, both written and spoken
• Attentiveness to details and high personal responsibility
• Ability to work within agreed rules and procedures
• Readiness for constant self-development

Nice to have

• ACCA/DipIFR qualification
• Knowledge of SAP
