Accounting Intern

Are you an early-career professional looking to build real-world corporate experience? We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support multi-entity reporting, month-end financial closes and day-to-day treasury operations.

Essential functions

• Support month-end close activities under the guidance of a supervisor
• Assist with reconciliations, journal entries and reporting across multiple legal entities
• Learn and apply US GAAP principles and corporate accounting policy in daily work
• Support corporate accounting processes such as transforming local reports to US GAAP corporate reports, consolidation, eliminations or lease accounting
• Support bank payment processing and cash reporting in e-banking systems
• Interface with HR, admin, suppliers and external accounting agencies to keep information flowing smoothly
• Contribute to quarterly and year-end audit preparation
• Take on ad hoc projects and process-improvement initiatives as they arise

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Working knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS or US GAAP)
• Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations)
• Fluent in English — written and spoken
• High learning agility, accuracy and attention to detail
• Comfortable working to deadlines during month-, quarter- and year-end close

Would be a plus

• Experience with NetSuite or another ERP platform
• Familiarity with Google Sheets
