We're Osome - an international fintech startup making the lives of entrepreneurs easier. We help thousands of businesses kick admin, accounting and bookkeeping out of their day-to-day, so they can spend more time on what's important to them. We've developed a unique solution that combines SaaS with a human-in-the-loop approach to provide full-fledged services in real-time.

We’re experiencing rapid growth in both client base and team, which now comprises around 500 people across our offices worldwide. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for more bright minds who are excited to make a real impact by solving complex problems.

  • You’ll work on real client accounts, not dummy data, and at real volume. You’ll process hundreds of transactions every day.
  • Accuracy and pace both matter. Your reconciliations feed directly into the reports and filings our accountants finalise.
  • This is a behind-the-scenes role with no direct client contact. You’ll work closely with team leads, accountants and our Client Success team.
  • Your output is measured clearly every day and every month, so you’ll always know where you stand.

If you want to build confidence, judgement, and ownership, it will be.

  • Reconcile bank transactions for your assigned client companies by matching them to supporting documents and posting them to the right accounts in the general ledger.
  • Review and categorise purchase and sales invoices so accounts payable and receivable stay accurate.
  • Work through a task-based queue at a steady pace every day and meet daily and monthly productivity targets. Don’t leave the work for month-end.
  • Help clear backlog cases by financial year end, starting with the oldest and most urgent.
  • Spot missing or unclear documents and raise clear, specific queries for our Client Success team to follow up with clients.
  • Check your own work before handing it over, so cases reach review clean and need little rework.
  • Join daily check-ins with your team lead to flag blockers, resolve discrepancies and suggest process improvements.
  • Use our in-house matching, routing and productivity tools, and adapt as they evolve.
  • 1 to 3 years of working experience in a related field, preferably in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Relevant experience and certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) will be considered.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, practices, and relevant software exposure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data review, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in using bookkeeping software and tools, along with the ability to adapt to new technologies and software platforms as we develop our own accounting software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, following instructions and seeking guidance when needed.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements, which includes but not limited to accurate journal entries.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse financial data and identify solutions.

You’ll leave this role better than you started. That’s the goal.

  • A solid grasp of double-entry bookkeeping and bank reconciliation.
  • Attention to detail at volume: you’re as accurate on the 300th transaction as on the first.
  • Comfort working with targets and daily metrics.
  • Experience with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero or QuickBooks) is a plus.

Our Benefits

  • Multi-cultural environment to enhance your global perspective.
  • Learning opportunities and mentorship from peers and leaders.
  • An agile working model focused on goals and performance.
  • Remote working arrangement.
  • USD 92 health allowance monthly.
  • Company-provided laptop.
