Currently, we are looking for an Accountant to join our global shared service Accounts Payable accounting team based in Argentina. Join us and help make our outstanding team even stronger!
Responsibilities
Verify the accuracy of accounting attributes for expenditure supporting documents
Process bank payments to EPAM counterparties, including both domestic and international wire transfers, as well as batch and individual payments
Perform US GAAP bookkeeping for company expenditures by type, and record related accounts payable and bank payments
Complete monthly accounting close for assigned accounts in SAP, following established procedures
Communicate with local statutory accountants to resolve bookkeeping issues when necessary
Provide explanations and supporting documentation to Senior or Lead Accountant for all relevant companies as required
Respond to internal and external requests, participate in meetings, and supply supporting documents for audit purposes
Take part in regular process improvement activities with the IT development team, analyze areas for improvement, and test new enhancements
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
At least 2 years of accounting work experience
Proficiency in MS Office, with strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
High attention to detail and commitment to compliance
Strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of assigned tasks
Ability to work within established rules and procedures
Willingness to pursue ongoing self-development
Team player who collaborates effectively in multicultural environments
English proficiency at B2+ level or higher, both written and spoken
Nice to have
ACCA or DipIFR certification
Experience working with SAP for accounting operations
Knowledge of Accounts Payable or Treasury processes
